Clindamycin (Cleocin)
inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 50s ribosomal subunits
static or cidal depends on "drug conc, infection site, and organism"

Diltiazem (Cardizem, Catia XT, Dilacor XR, Tiazac, Taztia XT)
Calcium Ch Blocker
use in: hypertension, chronic stable angina
PSVT, AF (both fibrillation and flutter)
Diprivan (Propofol)
general anesthetic/ sedative
for outpatient surgery
inj 10mg/ml

SIN DRUG has first dose effect (BP drop, syncope, tachycardia)
Doxazosin (Cardura)
alpha1 blocker tx: hypertension, BPH, urinary outflow obstruction

Prazosin (Minipress)
alpha1 blocker tx: BPH, Raynaud's syndrome

Terazosin (Hytrin) 1-20mg at bedtime

Alfuzosin (Uroxatral)

Tamisulosin (Flomax)

Proper medication, diet plus exercise is the way to take hold of hypertension. I like Minippress, it does not give me any side effects which I know is real hassle. Got it online at www.medsheaven.com
